When Transcriptionz was established in 2002, a key business focus was to be able to provide quick transcription services without compromise on quality.
We wanted our clients to feel at ease knowing that once they submitted an audio file to us for transcription, they could trust that the written file would be returned without the need for drastic change, if any, thus improving overall efficiency and quality.
A Quality Assurance team was formed on day one, which set about establishing a set of standards to help our transcriptionists achieve a near-100% accuracy rate.
Managing Director Rosemary Turner Waugh and Operations Manager Sue Martin work closely with new clients to develop standards to suit their individual needs, often based on the technologies that the client currently has in place.
Systems training is also provided to clients to ensure they get the most out of our transcription services, and also to each new transcriptionist when they commence work with a new client.
Our aim at Transcriptionz is to ensure that each and every one of our typists is armed with the knowledge, skill and experience required to get their documents near perfect from the get-go every time, with little need for editing.
Full training is provided by the QA team to each transcriptionist until this level of skill and confidence is achieved, and the team remains available to each transcriptionist when queries arise.
Living and working by Deming Principles, we know that quality improvement is about process management, and that if you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.
For that reason, our QA team continues to monitor, evaluate and evolve our systems, knowledge and processes to ensure quality as well as the highest standard of service is being delivered to meet the needs of complex and fluid healthcare systems and processes.
Every transcriptionist is aware that we perform quality audits periodically to ensure the maintenance of our standards on behalf of our clients. Our QA team is an integral part of this service.
Of course, as our work and the world of technology evolves, processes change and we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve when it comes to new and/or improving dictation tools.
